This surgery can be carried out in the woman like in the man, the anesthesia used is epidural (it anesthetizes regionally) or with general anesthesia. The patient remains in hospital for only one day and later makes a discreet rest for three or four days in her house; although she will not go to work during one week.

The cut for the surgery will be done in the space inter gluteus, under coccyx incision of three or four cm. which is not visible.

The size of the prosthesis to be used is in function of the size of the gluteus and of what the patient he/she desires, but the important thing is the precise indication of the use of the gluteus prosthesis to correct the existing defect; even though there are patients in which these prosthesis can not be put because doing it so, becomes anti-esthetic as in fallen and sad buttocks and buttocks with flaccidity or with the association of both defects together.
